The Hospitality NT Gold Plate Awards embody the best of the Territory’s café, restaurant and dining establishments. The Awards recognise, promote and reward excellence and best practice in the hospitality industry.
Instructions for Nominations
We are pleased to invite you to submit nominations for the Awards for Excellence. Please follow the steps below to complete your nomination:
Step 1. Register as a User
Registering as a user gives you the benefit to come back and work on your Nomination at any time up until Nominations close. After you register you will automatically start your nomination process.
Step 2. Review the Categories
Before starting your nomination, carefully review the categories (Browse all categories via the top toolbar) and their specific criteria to ensure that you or venue qualifies for the chosen category. Each category has detailed guidelines to help you select the most relevant option.
Step 3. Pay the Nomination Fee
After completing your category selections, pay the nomination fee to proceed with your submission, NOTE: If you are not submitting a submission based nomination you submission process ends here.
Step 4. Update your Online Nomination
If you have a submission based nomination, continue to edit your submission and upload the relevant materials required.
Nominations Close at midday, Wednesday 24th June
Submissions – Some categories require an accompanying submission (e.g.Local producer champion, sustainability award,events caterer & service excellence.) You have until 17th July to submit any required supporting materials.
Edit Your Submission – After registering, you can log back into your account at any time to edit or update your submission before the final deadline.

The Australian Liquor Marketers Gold Plate Awards showcase the very best of the Territory’s restaurants and dining scene. With a specially curated menu inspired by the Finalists of the NT Chef of the Year, the evening will be a memorable occasion to come together and recognise and reward the talent, commitment, and achievements within the hospitality restaurant industry.
This year the Awards dinner is being held on Monday, 24 August on the Lawns of Mindil Beach Casino Resort. The evening will begin at 6.00pm with cocktails from the finalists of the NT Bartender of the Year, with the awards presentation and dinner commencing at 7.00pm.
The dress code is Territory Formal.
